Kennedy completed her PhD with Chelsea Rochman at the University of Toronto, and was around to see the start of the pELAstics project. After working with EcoSuperior as their Rethinking Waste coordinator and Research Associate with the CEELab at Lakehead University, she is now a MITACS Postdoctoral Fellow working to build a model (through empirical measurements) that will estimate municipal plastics discharge into Lake Superior.
