Cody is investigating the impacts of plastic exposure in mesocosms both in the lab through the Aquatic Toxicology Research Centre and at the IISD-Experimental Lakes Area, and is a PhD student in the Environmental Biotechnology program.

Cody also did his undergraduate thesis in 2019-20 evaluating changes in mercury accumulation and energy density in Lake Trout during an experimental aquaculture operation at the ELA.
